Hey Jules, thanks for bathhousing with us. Please introduce yourself.

My name is Jules Horn, I’m German, living in NYC for 5 years. I’m a fashion model, and health coach focusing on nutrition, breath and fitness . My passion and purpose in this life is to help other people to live a healthier and happier life. I have high standards for my own well being and I wanna wake up every day and feel the best I can feel. It's a journey and I’m constantly learning.

What's your go-to circuit in the bathhouse?

3 rounds:

  • Dry Sauna (15 minutes)

  • Cold Plunge (5 to 8 minutes)

Why is bathhousing a part of your wellness routine?

It's incredibly beneficial for recovery, [calming] inflammation, burning fat (cold exposure especially), and longevity (hot and cold therapy creates heat shock proteins in our bodies that fight a host of diseases and push out all the things we don’t wanna have in our veins and arteries).

If you could bathhouse with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?

Being frankly honest, I just wanna go with someone like my buddy Chris, who’s exactly aligned with what I believe in. In that way we build community and lift each other higher. That's all I need and want in life.

What are your other favorite wellness practices?

Sleep is a big one, many people underestimate the power of sleep. Get 7 to 8 hours a night on average over the course of a week and you’ll feel great. Breath work is another big one as well as physical activities and working out.

Tell us what you've been working on lately. Any fun projects coming up?

Working more and more on my health & wellness career and connecting with amazing people who will help me along the way. We are all just walking each other home, if we all live a little bit more in service to each other, the world is going to be a better place.

Any closing thoughts?

The cold [plunge] will challenge your mind and it is important to become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Never lose the beginner's mind and never be afraid of starting over again. Life is a journey, take it one day at a time and enjoy the ride. Every day is a gift, so make the best out of each and every day. Thank you for reading.
